Another aspect that Mike told me I could look at is E. E. Cummings and concrete poetry. This is another way I can look at words visually and help me see into the way great copy, used in a great way, can truly be great!
E. E. Cummings
Edward Estlin Cummings (October 14, 1894 – September 3, 1962), popularly known as E. E. Cummings, was an American poet, painter, essayist, author, and playwright. His body of work encompasses approximately 2,900 poems, two autobiographical novels, four plays and several essays, as well as numerous drawings and paintings. He is remembered as a preeminent voice of 20th century poetry, as well as one of the most popular.

This just proves that words, although not necessarily mine, just on their own can be important and mind-blowing. No pictures or references were needed to show the reader the impact of these words. Poetry could be a way forward for me when I take a look at inspiration for copy and copywriting itself.
Concrete poetry or shape poetry is poetry in which the typographical arrangement of words is as important in showing the intended effect as the conventional elements of the poem, such as meaning of words, rhythm, rhyme and so on.
It is sometimes referred to as visual poetry; a term that has evolved to have distinct meaning of its own, because the words themselves form a picture. This can be called imagery because you use your senses to figure out what the words mean.
This is taking words in a definitely more visual direction. The reliance here is what the words look like, and the meaning behind them take more of a back-seat. However, still extremely effective in capturing peoples attention, so good to experiment with. I think concrete poetry will look especially good using the screen printing technique.
